PAYMENT TRAFFIC

doggso processes customer payments through an external payment service. Currently, doggso uses:

• Checkout (https://checkout.fi)
• Paytrail (https://www.paytrail.com/)
• VismaPay (https://www.visma.fi/vismapay/)

Your company should register as a user of the service, and the service credentials are used for doggso.com. After this, you can control the payment traffic yourself. The customer's payment method options are defined by the payment service.

ENROLLMENT, BOOKING AND ORDER VS PAYMENT

Successfully registering for a course, ordering or booking a space or service at doggso does not require payment. This improves the customer experience and lowers the operating threshold. However, if online payment is enabled, the user has the option to complete the payment step immediately without any additional actions. The user receives an e-mail notification about the successful enrollment, booking or order, and a link back to the payment page can also be sent in this notification message.

In situations where the school has a stricter payment policy, a separate mechanism is available for enrollments: automatic cancellation of unpaid enrollments. For example, a school may set a 24-hour* requirement for payment for enrollment. The user is informed at the time of enrollment and also with the automatic "Enrollment successful" message that if the payment is not made within 24 hours, the enrollment will be cancelled. The user also receives a separate reminder message with a warning before cancellation.

*24 hours is, in practice, longer than 24 hours. For example, if the user registers for the course on Monday at 15:00 and does not pay immediately, the user will first receive a warning email on the night between Monday and Tuesday, and the actual cancellation will take place on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
